Dr. Abha Kumari
- Dr. Abha is an Associate Professor at the Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University.
- She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.
- She holds a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from CSIR’s National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune.
- Again, she also holds another postdoctoral fellowship from Lakehead University, Canada.
- Her area of specialization is Biofuel: Biogas and Biodiesel, Microbial Fermentation, Flower waste, Municipal solid waste management, Development of Biological process for production value added product, Bioremediation of industrial affluent, Development of model of biochemical network for microorganism.
- She was also a visiting researcher at Tohoku Institute of Technology, Sendai.
- She has received numerous grants as project funding for various projects from CSIR and DBT.
Dr. S.A. Channiwala
- Dr. Channiwala has been the Ph.D. advisor and mentor for the founder of Cyra Engines, Dr. Rajesh Iyer.
- Dr. Channiwala is an alumni of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, and he was the Ex Director and presently Professor in Mechanical Engineering . Dept. at India’s prestigious and premier NIT, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat.
- He is also the recipient of the Prestigious Dr. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award.
- His area of research has been Internal Combustion Engines, Renewable Energy, and thermal systems, and is a consultant for various big Industries across India.
- He was the first person to develop the prototype for an electric vehicle during the 1980s in India and has also received numerous research grants from DSIR etc.
- In 2003, Dr Channiwala had designed India’s first Municipal corporation, maintaining its STP with bio-gas energy for Anjana STP plant for the municipal corporation, Surat.
- He has designed 50 TPD agricultural waste Biogas Plant for APMC market, Surat.
- He has also designed another 60 TPD bio CNG plant at Kamrej, Surat and the gas is sold to IOCL under SATAT Scheme.
- He has designed India’s one-of-a-kind Plasma Gasification system for a client in Morbi.
- He is also presently developing MSW Waste to Energy using a Plasma Gasification system funded by GOI.
